Interpretive Training

Training for Teams of All Sizes

Interpret This takes pride in passing on knowledge in the field of heritage interpretation. Our training workshops are designed to increase individual interpretive skills, personal job understanding, and more. Ask about creating custom training designs to meet specific needs and goals. Our training has been utilized by organizations in Brazil and Trinidad, as well as the Colorado Division of Wildlife (now Colorado Parks and Wildlife) and the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies.

Whether most of your team members are full-time, seasonal, or volunteers, we help them to better relate your resources and visitors. All training is conducted by our owner, Karin Hostetter. Quotes

“Karin masterfully creates engaging and fun trainings and workshops. Her years of dedication to the interpretation field have led to a genuine love for not only high-quality interpretation, but also bringing the best out in people. I would encourage anyone to take advantage of her knowledge and experience to further their own work in interpretation.”

Tim O’Keefe

Education Director, Roaring Fork Conservancy
“... you did an amazing job. You brought lots of creative ideas and new ways to teach certain subjects and also brought a number of new topics and ideas as well. I think the CIG curriculum was the right next step for this group and I think the training was really well carried out and very well received by our colleagues in Brazil.”

Ryan Finchum

Co-Director, Center for Protected Area Management, Colorado State University
“The CIT workshop at Killbear last week was fabulous. Many of my fellow staff marveled at the dedication - showing up early, modeling excellent training delivery, and being available late into every evening ... beyond what we expected from a 40-hour course! ...We felt extremely lucky to benefit from the experience and personality.”

Tobi Kiesewalter

Interpretive Naturalist, Murphys Point Provincial Park, Ontario Parks, Canada
